Lisa Fairstein constructs image-based works that blend a complicated embrace of contemporary image culture with a consideration of hyper-established tropes of photographic looking. Her work engages the process of making pictures and stands as a consideration of, as well as a contribution to, a society obsessed with the image of an image.

Lisa lives and works in New York City.
